Creativity, Consciousness, and Archetypal Awakening

Welcome to The Mythic Self, a sacred journey into the depths of your psyche, your symbols, and your soul’s true story. Rooted in Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey and shaped by the depth work of Carl Jung, this is more than a creative class. It is a living ritual, a mirror, and a call to reclaim the parts of yourself you may have forgotten or buried.

What is The Mythic Self

The Mythic Self blends Tarot symbolism, Zen philosophy, depth psychology, lunar cycles, and mixed media art. Each lesson becomes a portal that guides you through archetypes like The Fool, The High Priestess, The Empress, and beyond. Through guided meditation, sacred journaling, intuitive collage, and ritualized art making, you explore both the luminous and shadow aspects of your creative life. This is not about mastering technique. It is about becoming your own oracle, one layer, one image, one truth at a time.

Why I made this

I built The Mythic Self from my own mental health journey and my long study of Jung’s and Campbell’s ideas as tools for healing. This offering is personal, practical, and gentle. It welcomes anyone who wants to listen inward and translate what they find into art and meaning.

You will learn to

  • Release perfectionism and performative creativity
  • Embody archetypes through visual storytelling and symbolic ritual
  • Work with the unconscious using imagery, metaphor, and myth
  • Cultivate a personal creative practice rooted in authenticity, not approval
  • Integrate feminine and masculine energies with awareness and reverence
  • Develop a sacred rhythm through moon aligned practice and inner listening

Welcome excerpt

Your journey begins here.

You already carry the pieces of your story. The fragments of myth. The dreams you tuck away. The shadows you avoid. Here we gather them. Here we weave them into something whole. You are both the hero and the storyteller. Every page you make, every symbol you choose, becomes a step back to yourself.

Who this is for

  • Anyone seeking creative self discovery without pressure or judgment
  • People curious about tarot, myth, and symbolism as companions for healing
  • Artists and non artists who want to build a steady ritual of making
  • Those who want to turn personal challenges into art and insight
By the end of this journey you will do more than make art. You will uncover your own myth, reclaim your creative fire, and learn to tend it like a living altar. This is not a class. It is a remembering. This is not just art. It is your return to soul. Your mythic journey begins here. Come home to the story only you can tell.
