Early Creative Contributor
During COVID, Nathan became one of the first paid creative contributors to the project. April provided him with a drawing tablet, and they met weekly on Discord to build stories, characters, artwork, and the foundation of what would eventually become part of the Ladybird Jenkins world.
Behind the scenes, Nathan also became a steady source of encouragement. When the project felt too hard or April was close to quitting, Nathan often reminded her why the work mattered and helped keep the creative signal alive.

Behind the Character
Edward + E.T. MechanicsComfort in the Chaos
Edward Thompson is not just a fictional professor. Nathan created Edward as the kind of person others can look up to: someone who has been through hardship, still chooses loyalty, and still protects the people he loves.
Edward carries the qualities Nathan values most: strength, gentleness, courage, and care. Through Edward, Nathan gave the Indovian Academy world a character with real emotional weight.
E.T. Mechanics Badge
Nathan’s Edward Thompson and D.A.N.T.E. concept helped inspire the E.T. Mechanics badge. April built the badge design around Nathan’s idea, transforming his character into a finished product for the box.

April’s Archive Notes
Proud SignalsNathan, I want you to see what I see.
I see someone who keeps showing up, keeps trying, keeps imagining, and keeps adding something real to this world. You do not just make characters; you give them heart. You do not just play games; you help people feel welcome inside them.
Behind the scenes, you have also helped me keep going. When I felt discouraged, overwhelmed, or close to quitting, your words often brought me back to the purpose of the project. You reminded me who this was for, why it mattered, and what we were building together. That kind of encouragement is not small. It is leadership. It is friendship. It is creative courage.
I am proud of your persistence, your humor, your wisdom, and the way your confidence grows each time you make something new. This page is proof that your work matters.
